Anaheim is one of the most popular destinations in Southern California for its unbeatable attractions and laid-back charm. Of course, there’s Disneyland with more than 16 million visitors every year, but you shouldn’t miss the plenty of other attractions that make this city a big draw.

For one, Anaheim’s downtown district, locally known as CtrCity, is the place to be whether it’s a weekday afternoon or Saturday night. This walkable promenade feels like a charming village with string lights, wide sidewalks, hidden gems and local restaurants buzzing with energy. It’s fit for date night or an afternoon of window shopping. Swing by Okayama Kobo Bakery and Café for fluffy Japanese pastries and a strong espresso or sip a glass of California-made wine in Cultivation Kitchen’s gorgeous greenhouse-style dining room. Foodies also flock to the Anaheim Packing District, a Sunkist citrus packing house turned hip food hall and shopping center.

Anaheim has a fascinating history and you can learn more about it at the Founder’s Park, where you can tour two historic homes: the 1857 Mother Colony House and the Woelke-Stoffel House, built in 1894.
