Here again, it’s a good idea to set up a numbering system to keep track of what you buy so you can find it when it’s time to ship.
  3. Finally, you might consider renting a storage space or some warehouse space. The key to renting a space is to find one that’s big enough to allow you to see what you have and get to it easily. It’s not going to do you any good to have a tiny storage space where everything is stacked together. What happens if you sell an item that’s stored in the back under other boxes? One way to do it is to use plastic storage bins and number everything. Then you can place them in such a way that you can get to them when you need them.

The storage solution you choose will likely be dictated by how much inventory you have to store. If you’re selling small items like earrings or jewelry, then working from home may be feasible. However, if you have thousands of listings, you should probably consider an option that will give you the space you need.
